The exterior access panel is insulated, watertight, and is constructed with a an exposed stainless steel continuous hinge. The 2F-MX2424-SS-LTK comes equipped with a Lift And Turn Compression Latch With Key ( Standard ) as the doors locking mechanism.

The frame and door of this American Made 24" x 24" exterior access door is constructed from 18 gauge Type 304 Stainless Steel with a brushed finish. All Karp MX model doors are insulated with 2.25" thick polystyrene ( 5.0 R-value ), and remain watertight due to a 3/8" wide x 1/8" thick closed cell neoprene gasketing between the frame and the door. All MX model doors swing out due to a stainless steel exposed continuous hinge. Some framing is required for installation of Model MX doors, they have an exposed 1" flange that surrounds the perimeter of the 24" x 24" door on all sides.
