The exterior access panel is insulated, watertight, and is constructed with a an exposed stainless steel continuous hinge. All MX model doors swing out due to a stainless steel exposed continuous hinge. Some framing is required for installation of Model MX doors, they have an exposed 1" flange that surrounds the perimeter of the 12" x 12" door on all sides.
