The Karp model KRP-150FR is a fire rated access door designed for ceiling or wall applications with a rough opening of 18-3/8" x 18-3/8". The 2F-KRPP1818-RCNL-I is a recessed door with an exposed flange, and will require framing for ceiling or wall applications. The KRP-150FR is insulated and rated by Underwriters Laboratories for 1.5 hour "B" label in walls and may be used in a 2 hour fire rated wall assembly. Additionally, Warnock Hersey rates the KRP-150FR for 3 hours in ceilings.
