From Industrial Hardware and Specialties is the JL Industries Safety Post Curb Mount LP-6 Safety Yellow Painted Steel. This EZ-Up ladder post provides easy and safe access through a roof hatch. The assembly permanently mounts to the front inside of the curb with six self-tapping 3/8"-14 screws. After the user opens the roof hatch, the post is raised with one hand and self-locks into an upright position. The user can then safely climb from the ladder to the rooftop using the post for a handhold. The post can be easily folded down into the stowed position. The LP-6 is 34-5/8" x 1-1/2" x 1-1/2", the post is made from 12 gauge square steel, and attached by a swivel bolt to a welded 10 gauge steel mounting plate.
